September 13th Book Reviews!
So, whenever I finish multiple books in a day, I will do my review of them under one post.
These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly
⭐⭐.5
I wasn’t sure what I was going to think about with this book. It took me a long time to really get into it and if it hadn’t have been for listening to it as an audiobook, I probably would’ve DNF it. I was able to figure who was behind everything before Jo and Eddie. Though I wouldn’t say that it wasn’t because it was the classic case of “who done it” since it did have a lot of nice twists and turns.
Seven Dirty Secrets by Natalie D. Richards
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I NEEDED a quick read! Okay, so I’m giving this book 4⭐️ because while I do enjoy Natalie’s book, I did feel like this one was a bit on the predictable side of things.
I really enjoyed that this book went back and forth between what happened on that rafting trip and the present. Also those clues were great! Cleo and Conner’s sibling relationship was done so well! As was really all of the relationships within the group. I had my suspicions on who was behind the scavenger hunt and why. The ending was done pretty well!
If you want a fast past “what is happening” book, I would recommend this one!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed learning more about the background and history of the three queens with this novella. Reading about how each of the queens start being trained was interesting and definitely made me want to start the series.
The Oracle Queen by Kendare Blake
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed learning more about the background and history of this series with this novella. Reading about what ACTUALLY happened with the oracle queen was a great edition to the series and made me want to start reading the series!
