September Reads!

Hi, so I started this blog in the middle of the month, but I want to start doing a monthly reads. So, this will be a monthly post that I will publish at the end of the month every month that just talks a bit about what I have read that month.

Starting the month of September, I read Sarah Dessen's second to last release. This was the first book I also finished this month!

I started reading Once and For All on September 1st and finished it on September 6th. I also gave it 4 stars and just greatly enjoyed the plot of the book and how Sarah always touches on real and tough issues.

The second book I had finished was an ARC copy of A Court of Broken Promises by Bella Leigh Michaels. This book was released on September 19th and you can find it on ANY platform for eBook. I had actually started reading this book on August 21st and finished it on September 8th. This book was also given 4 stars and I loved the world building that Bella was able to do just in book 1! Though, this book does have a gut punching cliffhanger and that is all I'm going to say!

My third book of the month was These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly. To my knowledge, I think this was the first book I have ever read by her. I started this book on September 7th and finished it on September 13th. While I did find a lot of concepts that I liked within the book, it just took me a bit too long to get into it, so I only gave it 2.5 stars.

I do a ton of audiobooks while I am in school, so that is why these next three were all read in a single day. (I'm also a bit of an insomniac, so that slightly helps).

Seven Dirty Secrets by Natalie D. Richards was my fourth book read this month! I started and finished it on September 13th and I gave it 4 stars. I have so far loved and enjoyed every single book I have read by Natalie and this one wasn't anything different. I needed a book that would be a fast and quick read and this thriller had hit the spot!

These next two did get read out of order, but I blame that on the audiobook version! The Young Queens was my fifth book of the month and I finished it also on September 13th. I love anything by Kendare Blake (or well, I guess I have only read the Anna Dressed in Blood Duology) and this was the perfect segway for me starting a new series by her! I gave this novella 4 stars.
The Oracle Queen was my 6th read was was finished on September 13th. I also gave this novella 4 stars and enjoyed learning more about the history of one of the past queens.

The Cursed Coven by Kara Badalamenti was my 7th book this month! The copy I had read was a free copy that the author gifted to me though the review I gave it was COMPLETELY unbiased. I started reading my copy on September 8 and finished it on September 19. I really enjoyed it, so I gave it 5 stars. This book came out on September 26 and can be found on both Barnes and Noble and Amazon (as both an eBook and a physical copy)!

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake was my 8th book of the month. I started reading on September 14 and finished it on September 20. I gave it 4.5 stars and I can't wait until I finish the series because I need answers to all of the questions that I have at the end of book 1!

My 9th book of the month was an arc copy of Slash or Pass by Tylor Paige. I started reading this book on September 19 and finished it on September 26. It is a perfect spooky season, especially if you like slasher films but wished they were spicy. I gave it a 4.5 star and a 4.5 spice rating. It came out on September 22nd and you can read it on KU!

My 10th and last book of the month was the sequel to Three Dark Crowns. One Dark Throne was started on September 24 and I finished it on September 30th. This book was given 4 stars and if you want to see my review, it's posted right before this post!
